The Strategic Meeting of the SACU Senior Trade Officials (STOs)
The Strategic Meeting of the Senior Trade Officials held on 9 – 12 March 2026 in Johannesburg, South Africa, to review SACU’s trade negotiation agenda and consider key policy and trade-related developments to be undertaken during the year.
The Chairperson of the STOs and Deputy Director-General in the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition of South Africa, Ambassador Xolelwa Mlumbi-Peter, together with the Executive Secretary of SACU, Mr. Dumisani Masilela, and the Director: Policy Development and Research, Mr. Benjamin Katjipuka, during the Strategic Meeting of the Senior Trade Officials held on 9 – 12 March 2026 in Johannesburg, South Africa. As a norm, the STOs convene to review SACU’s trade negotiation agenda and consider key policy and trade-related developments to be undertaken during the course of the year.
